Net Energy Metering (NEM) is a key billing mechanism incentivizing solar photovoltaic (PV) system adoption by crediting owners for surplus electricity fed back into the grid. This approach not only supports individual energy generation but also fosters a symbiotic relationship between producers and the broader grid, encouraging a more sustainable and decentralized energy landscape. By providing credits for contributions, NEM plays a crucial role in promoting renewable energy and aligns with global efforts to address climate change, contributing to a resilient and environmentally conscious energy future.
By installing our rooftop solar PV system, your home will utilise the solar energy to generate electrical power. This power will help to reduce your energy consumption cost on your electricity bill.
The solar PV system is directly connected to Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB)'s distribution grid and any energy produced is exported back to SEB. With NEM, the power exported will help to reduce your monthly electricity bills with one-to-one tariff rate to SEB.
The Standard Package is available in sizes ranging from 3 kWp to 20 kWp. If needed, larger installations can be accommodated following a thorough site assessment.
The term "kWp" represents "kilowatt peak" and is a unit of measurement utilized in relation to rooftop solar solutions. It signifies the maximum power output that a solar panel system can be achieved under ideal conditions, typically measured during standardized test conditions.
The "p" in kWp indicates the peak power, which aids in determining the capacity or size of a solar installation and provides an estimate of the amount of electricity the system can generate.
